Great site, love your description. I am in the process of discovering my family tree. I was brought up with the knowledge that Bert Thomas was a family member and we had an A3 framed print of “arf a mo” kaiser in my grandparents home. My mum passed away a few months ago so constantly asking my dad for names and places that he remembers etc.. and regretting not doing this with my mother as she knew everything!!!
Thank you

Your posts are absolutely riveting.
You shone a light on Aussie talk that has completely bowled me over.
Of course, I’ve always known that to find a fop among the Aussies is like looking for a needle WITH a haystack.
But not as rough-and-tumble as this.
Perhaps it comes from staying out too long in that sun.
Keep them coming, your posts, along with the rough-and-tumble Aussies.
